GPAWS “Golden Paws” seniors pet support program.
Eligible to seniors over 65 years of age and for all domestic animals.
Gladstone PAWS works with the Gladstone community and aged care sector to provide assistance for older people who are unable to continue carer for their pet. This may be due to health, or the need to transition into an aged-care facility that does not allow pets. GPAWS understands this is a very difficult time and offers a free surrender of a person’s beloved pet. Our volunteers are empathetic and considerate in these sad situations and will handle these applications with care. Our team will try to match them with a loving new home in a similar environment and provide you closure with information once adopted.
